Benjamin Smoke follows the crooked path of this fringe-dweller, speed-freak, occasional drag-queen and all-around renegade living in the hidden Atlanta neighborhood called “Cabbagetown,” and playing with his band Smoke.

Really cool portrait of Benjamin (last name not Smoke) in the 90s showcasing his talent, unapologetic attitude, queerness and inner philosophy alongside the tragic shackles of addiction and poverty amidst other personal struggles. It was also a cool portrait of Atlanta (well, Cabbagetown, L5P, and Poncey-Highland) in the 90s and its underground underbelly.…
