Movies are better with a crew.

Each event can have one or more outings. An outing is a particular screening at a theater, date, and time. Choose the one that works for you and mark yourself Committed, Interested, or Declined. The outing page is the source of truth for that screening.

Commit when you actually intend to attend. Depending on the outing, you may book your own ticket, use a theater membership, request A-List Entourage booking, or tell us you need a ticket from the Club block. A commitment does not mean a ticket has been purchased unless the site or an organizer confirms that your ticket is booked or assigned.

We do not sell tickets. When members need tickets from us, we use those requests to decide how many tickets to buy for the group block. Members then claim those Club-purchased tickets at cost. You can also book separately or use an available theater program. When we coordinate seats, we try to keep the group together, so assignments can move as the group develops.

Usually, when the outing allows it. Add the correct guest count to your commitment so the headcount and ticket planning stay accurate. You are responsible for your guests and any ticket cost associated with them.

No. Many regular moviegoers use theater subscriptions, but they are not required. You can attend with an ordinary ticket. Atlanta Movie Club is independent of theater membership programs.

Come anyway. Check the outing page or group chat for current meetup or seating information. If the movie has started, find your seat and catch up with everyone afterward rather than missing more of the film.

It depends on the outing. Members often stick around to talk, grab food or drinks, or continue the conversation nearby. A post-movie social is optional and may not happen after every screening.

We look for movies worth seeing together: major new releases, smaller films, special presentations, repertory screenings, festivals, and other interesting theatrical events. Some are planned well ahead; others come together when theaters publish schedules.

Across metro Atlanta. We are not tied to one theater chain or neighborhood. Every outing identifies its venue and screening details.

There is currently no fee simply to participate in Atlanta Movie Club outings. Members are responsible for their tickets, food, drinks, parking, transportation, and other personal expenses. If you claim a ticket from a Club group block, you reimburse the Club at the ticket’s cost; the Club does not add a markup.

Yes. Create an account, find an outing that interests you, and commit. You do not need to know anyone beforehand. Making it easier to find people to see movies with is the point.

Member-facing attendee information follows the privacy controls available in your account. Organizers may still need your identity to manage the outing, tickets, seating, support, and safety.

They keep the conversation going after the credits. Reviews are optional, disagreement is welcome, and respectful discussion matters more than agreeing about a movie.

It is the central place for events and outings: discovering movies, choosing a screening, committing or expressing interest, managing guests, seeing attendance information, maintaining your profile, and rating or reviewing movies.

The website handles the structured parts of an outing; the group chat is useful for conversation, announcements, and last-minute coordination. Record your commitment on the website so organizers have an accurate headcount.

An email address is required for an account. Other profile information may be optional. The Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we use it, and your choices.

Update your commitment as soon as you know you cannot attend, especially when the Club has purchased or is holding a ticket for you. Some outings have a cancellation cutoff because a ticket cannot always be recovered or reassigned at the last minute.

Atlanta movie fans have been showing up together through this community since 2023. The website is a newer extension designed to make organizing outings easier as the community grows.
